Katherine Short

Katherine Short joined OMERS in November 2021 as Associate Director, Sustainable Investing. In this role, she supports OMERS ongoing efforts to evolve its sustainable investing practices. Since January 2024, Katherine has been leading sustainable investing for OMERS Private Equity buyout portfolio.

Prior to joining OMERS, Katherine served as a Director and Portfolio Manager at RBC. At RBC, Katherine served as the RBC InvestEase Investment Committee Co-chair. She was also instrumental in launching a suite of ESG-integrated ETFs in partnership with Blackrock. Prior to joining RBC, she held positions at Vanguard.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from York University as well as an MBA from the London Business School in the United Kingdom. She is a CFA® Charterholder and holds a certificate from the CFA Institute in ESG Investing.
