Biography
Michael Block is the Head of Private Capital at OMERS, where he oversees a broad range of private investment strategies and teams, including Ventures, Growth Equity, Green Tech, and Life Sciences. He is also responsible for the development and execution of OMERS Private Equity's global funds strategy. Michael joined OMERS in 2015 and is based in Toronto.
Michael serves on the Board of Dialpad, a leading AI-powered customer intelligence platform and Purpose Financial, a fast-growing financial services company. Previously, Michael was Senior Vice President Strategy & Asset Liability Management, and, also served on the Board of LifeLabs, a leading healthcare diagnostics company.
Prior to OMERS, Michael was a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group in Toronto and Stockholm. He worked globally across several industries on a range of strategic projects.
Michael holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School.
